The mission of the GROW! Program is to help alleviate child hunger in America through the provision of health education and food to children and their families at a pre-school setting. Connecticut Food Bank will partner with 8-10 pre-school programs serving families with limited income twice a month for a 6 month period. During that time, CT Food Bank staff will conduct 30 minute sessions covering topics such as: nutrition education, budgeting, fitness, cooking tips, and financial education. Participants will then be invited onto our custom truck to choose a variety of food products: shelf stable items, dairy, meat, bread and produce.
All at not no cost to the parent!

July-December 2014
Household Commitment:

• Attend the sessions with a willingness to learn for the 6 months
• Bring own bags each time
• Try the recipes
• Eat as a family
• Share their story with others- possibly volunteer at other sites
