Childcare Tip Line

October is here! A month that sees back to school nights, Columbus Day celebrations, Harvest & Halloween and more. This year we decided that we would get a jump on the topic of safety. When talking to children there are so many safety precautions to be thought…Street safety, safe candy, safety in numbers and the list goes on and on. This month we want to help you prepare a plan so that you can have a safe Halloween. With all that is happening in the world, ongoing conversations with your children about who, what, where when and how will help everyone of all ages within the household.

Here’s an idea for the whole family. Get a sheet of paper and a pen and plan what the family will do for a Harvest Party and or Halloween.

  • Frist create a list of things to do.

  • List who is going to do what?

  • Write out a safety plan-phone numbers, contacts. What are you’re to do steps if something should happen?

  • Where are we going?

  • When are we going to start?

  • How long are we going to do it?

  • Post your plan

  • Make sure everyone is clear about the event for the evening.

Whether it’s trick or treating or a Harvest celebration, Safety is and should always be your number one priority.

All the Best to the Best

Ms. Kim
